Exchanges and Returns

At our discretion, items can be exchanged for up to 30 days from the purchase date. An exchange will only be issued upon receipt of proof of purchase, and within this 30 day period.
Items must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in like-new condition. Items cannot be exchanged or refunded for gift cards, store credits or other vouchers.
Sale items can be exchanged if unworn, with the original tags attached and in like-new condition. Sale items cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, gift cards, store credits or other vouchers. Please note, when purchasing a sale item, limited sizes may be available at time of exchanging due to end of line stock.
Refunds (if applicable)
Flinders Merch Shop is not required to provide a refund for change of mind. The customer may seek a refund if item presents a major issue, such as:
- the item has a problem that, if known prior to purchase, would have stopped someone from buying the item
- the item is unsafe
- the item is significantly different from the sample or description
- the item does not do its intended purpose, and can’t be easily fixed
If the problem is not deemed major, Flinders Merch Shop will endeavour to repair the item within a reasonable time, and absorb any costs incurred. If the item is not repaired within a reasonable period, the customer may choose a refund or replacement.
Sale items are non-refundable for change of mind. You may wish to exchange your items within the appropriate time period, as per conditions above.
Refunds or repairs can only be issued upon receipt of proof of purchase. Items purchased online cannot receive a refund in-store.
To seek a refund from your online purchase, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and a staff member will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible with further instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected by Flinders Merch Shop, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, a refund will be processed, using the original method of payment
Please note, you must email email@example.com sighting your intent to seek an exchange or refund. Once acknowledged you will be provided two options to return:

- Tuesday 11am – 2pm
- Thursday 9am – 12pm

Any shipping costs incurred when exchanging an item is non-refundable. Any shipping costs incurred for an approved refund (or exchange due to a fault) will be covered.
Flinders Merch Shop accepts no responsibility for items damaged or lost in transit. We strongly recommend you consider using a traceable shipping service, or purchase shipping insurance.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If there is a delay in receiving your approved refund, please follow the steps below:
- Double-check your bank statement, ensuring this is the account linked to the associated credit card
- Contact your credit card company for more information, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Once posted, often you will experience some processing time before the refund appears in your account
- If after the above, you still have not received your refund, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org your order information
A reminder that we are not yet a shopfront, and can not accept any exchanges, or returns from the Events Office. This includes trying items on for size.
Please be aware of imitation and unauthorised sellers of Flinders University Merchandise. We can only offer sales support on authorised products purchased directly from the Flinders Uni Shop - shop.flinders.edu.au/.
